These were formulated (or first popularized — I’m not sure which) by Richard Dawkins in The Selfish Gene.

I could have talked faster, but I think most viewers will need the time to be able to follow what I’m saying. It’s not a well-known argument.

The only thing I have to say about the video is that it could be a lot shorter if you talked faster. But it definitely succeeds in explaining evolution. Breaking it into those three attributes is particularly effective.
