People say, “You can’t compare George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler. That’s going too far.”

I say: we don’t know.

Bush has demonstrated that he is willing to let some hundreds of thousands of other people die so that he can feel like a Big Man. But Hitler caused tens of millions of deaths. That’s different by at least two orders of magnitude. So Bush has not been nearly as bad as Hitler was.

But Hitler is dead, and Bush is still in power. How far is Bush willing to go? We don’t know.
